Digital Chat Station previously reported that Oppo Pad 3 would sport a custom 3K display over size of 12-inch. The same source has now provided more details surrounding the display.
According to him, Oppo Pad 3 will sport a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels. This means the screen will have a pixel density of 304 PPI, making it sharper than the Oppo Pad 2. It will maintain the 7:5 aspect ratio that the Oppo Pad 2 debuted with last year. The screen will have a brightness of up to 900 nits, a notable upgrade from Pad 2’s 500 nits brightness.
Previous reports on the Oppo Pad 3 have revealed it will flaunt a metal uni-body. Under the hood, it will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, which will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The tablet will draw power from a 9,230mAh battery, which Oppo is most likely to list as 9,510mAh as it did with the Pad 2. Moreover, the tablet will retain the support for 67W wired fast charging.
It has already been over a year since Oppo unveiled the Pad 2. The tablet was announced in Marach of last 2023. Going by this timeline, the Oppo Pad 3 should have launched a couple of months ago. However, the launch was delayed because of the dilemma over the chipset.
To recall, Oppo Pad 2 was powered by Dimensity 9000 chipset. It featured an 11.61-inch LTPS LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. It packed a 9,510mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging.
It was launched disguised as the very first OnePlus Pad in the global audience. Thus, it is possible that Oppo Pad 3 would be rebranded as OnePlus Pad 2 for the internal market.
