Chinese EV maker Nio says it delivered 20,498 electric vehicles (EVs) in July. Although this is a strong monthly figure, it is lower than June’s number. However, it is the first time that Nio has exceeded 20,000 deliveries for three consecutive months.
Nio continues its sales momentum
In July, the company’s deliveries were down 3.35% from June when it shipped 21,209 cars. But there’s a small 0.18% increase year-over-year from July 2023, which had 20,462 deliveries.
So far this year, Nio has delivered 107,924 EVs with a growth of 43.9% compared to the same period last year. The brand’s cumulative deliveries have now reached 557,518 vehicles since its inception.
As evident, Nio primarily focuses on the Chinese market and currently offers eight different EV models. Among them, the SUV ES6 and the ET5 sedan (including its station wagon variant ET5T) are their top sellers.
Nio did not provide specific sales figures for individual models but reported that 60% of the delivered cars were SUVs (11,964 units) and 40% were sedans (8,534 units).
According to dealer sales data estimations by CarNewsChina, the ES6 SUV contributed approximately 7,600 units (37%) to total sales, while the ET5 and ET5T combined likely accounted for about 7,400 units (36%).
