Infinix is gearing up for the launch of the Zero 40 series, which will be unveiled on August 29. Lucky for you, we already have all the details about the two phones, including their official prices. So, here’s the upcoming Infinix Zero 40 and Zero 40 5G in all their glory.
The Infinix Zero 40 5G is built around an LTPS AMOLED screen with a 6.78-inch diagonal length. It is an FHD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and an instant touch sampling rate of up to 1500Hz. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting the display.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Infinix offers two storage options for the phone — 256GB and 512GB — both based on UFS 3.1 technology.
The Infinix Zero 40 5G has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired, 20W wireless, and 10W wired reverse wired charging.
Moving on, the phone’s back houses a triple camera setup that’s led by a 108MP ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor. It has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (OIS) for its anti-shake technology.
That is joined by a 50MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP tertiary camera (that we’re assuming is a depth sensor), and a quad-LED flash. Over on the front, there is a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 sensor with dual flash and EIS for selfies and video recording.
You can record 4K 60 fps videos from both front and rear cameras. Whereas the Infinix Zero 40 5G also has seamless integration with GoPro devices. Interesting.
As for software, this thing ships with Android 14 out of the box with XOS 14.5 on top. Infinix also says this phone will get at least three years of security patches and will be updated to Android 16. The phone is IP54 dust and water-resistant too, while it comes with WiFi 6E, NFC, an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, JBL-tuned dual speakers, and an infrared blaster. There is no headphone jack though.
Infinix Zero 40 4G: Everything you need to know
Tagging along the Infinix Zero 40 5G is the 4G variant, powered by MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB storage. It has the same 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED screen but with a 120Hz refresh rate instead of 144Hz. And Infinix has cut off wireless charging from the 4G model as well.
