Huawei is currently gearing up for its Summer 2024 launch event. The event, scheduled for May 15 (2:30 pm local time) in China, is expected to be the launch pad for several smart accessories. Fresh of the launch of the Pura 70 lineup, Huawei is speculated to drop new notebooks, tablets, smartwatches, and other smart accessories at the event.
Huawei Eyewear 2 Sunglasses Teaser
Huawei made the event official yesterday via a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. It also confirmed the Eyewear 2 sunglasses as the first of many smart accessories to be unveiled at the event.
For reference, the original Eyewear 2 was announced in Barcelona last September. It came with an open acoustic design with interchangeable prescription lenses from Zeiss.
The upcoming Eyewear 2 sunglasses are expected to debut with a bit more flair than the prescription glasses. The teaser poster shows the smart eyewear accessory sporting a square frame design.
The temple area and the tip look similar to the original Eyewear 2. It even has the silver Huawei logo near the hinge.
Huawei has not announced any major update on the Eyewear 2 sunglasses. Thus, it is expected that the refreshed eyewear accessory will bring an unaltered set of specifications.

Huawei Eyewear 2 features a co-directional dual-diaphragm dynamic driver and dual-coil four-magent architecture. The setup produces sound waves directed at the ears as well as a canceling privacy waves in the opposite direction.
For calls, the glasses are equipped with a dual microphone setup backed by Huawei’s smart call noise cancellation. It can resist wind speeds up to 4.5m/s
Eyewear 2 can connect to two devices simultaneously. It is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows devices.
