The news of CMF venturing into the smartphone market was confirmed by the brand’s social handle. The official poster gives a sneak peek at the design of CMF phone 1. It will come with a textured faux leather finish.

Likewise, it will also feature a dial at one of the corners, like the one found on the CMF Buds charging case, but with more visible grooves.

CMF phone 1 rumored specifications

As per Nothing, CMF phone 1 will cater to a market segment “often overlooked by others.” It is expected to be an entry-level phone that is even more affordable compared to the recently launched Nothing phone (2a)

As such, it will miss out on a couple of features tied to the Nothing phone lineup. It will give up on the transparent back as well as the Gylph interface. It will come in an orange faux leather finish  — never seen in the main phone lineup.

According to the rumors, CMF phone 1 will debut with a Nothing Lock, which will allow users to attach accessories and add-ons. It will have a replaceable back cover.

Coming to the specifications, it will sport a 6.67-inch OLED screen refreshing at 120Hz. It will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 series chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery and support 33W fast charging.

As for availability, CMF phone 1 will arrive next month (July) and will have a starting price of $249. It will come in Black, Green, and Blue, in addition to the Orange variant that will be exclusive to the Indian market.
